Sacraments of Healing

The two sacraments that are needed for forgiveness and spirituality are Confession & Penance and The Anointing of the Sick.

Confession & Penance

Inside of Confession Booth

This sacrament is a celebration of God's forgiveness of sins through the ministry of the Church. It involves confessing one's sins to a priest, who acts as a representative of Christ, and receiving absolution for those sins. The sacrament is a way  to reconcile with God, the Church, and the community after committing sins. It is also a means of receiving spiritual guidance and strength to avoid sin in the future.

The Anointing of the Sick

Cross and Clouds

This sacrament, formerly known as Extreme Unction or Last Rites, is administered to those who are seriously ill or in danger of death. Through the anointing with blessed oil and the prayers of the priest, the sacrament is believed to offer spiritual healing and comfort, as well as, if it is God's will, physical healing. It is not only for those in immediate danger of death but can also be received by anyone facing a serious illness or the frailty of old age. Please call Father for more information.
